Prioritizing the neighbors is fulfilling the promises of the President / Qatar Agricultural and Engineering Products Market

In an interview with IRNA, Ramin Mehmanparast said about the importance of Ayatollah Ra’isi’s visit to Qatar: “Apart from the fact that relations with all countries of the world are of some importance and in today’s interconnected world, political and economic relations with all countries are necessary for development.” At this stage, the importance of developing economic relations with neighbors is more important for Iran.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: “The rating of relations with other countries is directly related to more interests because we want economic relations with other countries of the world only to strengthen and secure national interests.” For this reason, the closer a country is to us geographically, the lower our economic costs. Also, if there is a category of cultural, religious and historical similarities and commonalities between us, relations with that country are of greater importance.

“Neighboring countries, Muslim and West Asia, are obviously in the ranking and in terms of priority of foreign relations,” he said. Iran has fluctuated with several Arab countries in the Persian Gulf due to their unconventional actions.

“Qatar has a different position with Iran, and this country had problems with some of the same countries in the region, and even remained alone in the region for a while, and it was Iran and Turkey that brought Qatar out of the impasse; Qatar has maintained the level of its relations with Iran in various incidents, problems and events in recent years, and this stability has made Qatar different from other countries in the southern Gulf. Of course, Iran also helped Qatar to some extent by understanding the situation in Qatar as much as it needed to.

The member of the National Unity Front continued: “The visit of our President was done with the understanding of these issues and for the mutual benefit of the two countries from each other’s capacities, while Iran and Qatar need more cooperation in managing production and controlling the gas market in the world. The documents and agreements reached by the President with the Emir of Qatar show that the two countries have understood their common role in this regard, and it should be hoped that some of the issues left between the two countries will be resolved as soon as possible.

The former Foreign Ministry spokesman continued: “One of the less used capacities is the transit of Qatari goods from the Iranian sky, while Qatar has a good market for agricultural products, engineering and technical services of Iran.”

Emphasizing that in addition to this trip, other trips will be made in order to activate economic diplomacy and prioritize relations with neighbors – which was also Mr. Ra’isi’s election slogan – he said: energy diplomacy, gas and electricity swaps in connection with Asian countries A center like Turkmenistan, colorful and activating the north-south corridor are important issues facing our foreign policy.

“Just as relations with Qatar are important to us, so are Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, and we must develop economic relations with these countries in order to strengthen our economy,” the principled political activist said.

Regarding the weakening of relations with neighbors in the past and comparing the regional and economic diplomacy of the 13th government with the previous government, Mehmanparast said: “So far, the 13th government has done a good job and according to the promises made by the president to the people, Ayatollah Raisi It is trying to take steps to fulfill those promises, and over time the effects of the policy of prioritizing neighboring countries and the dominant view based on this concept will be felt. Of course, the government must define its short-term and long-term strategies for political relations and economic diplomacy so that we know, for example, where we are going in the next few months, and the number indicates where we have been at the end of the four-year period. How far have we reached our drawing goals?
