Production of 50% of animal feed by waste drying method

According to Fars news agency’s urban group, Fayyaz Bakhsh, a university professor, said about the operation of the first integrated urban waste management center (MRF) and 55 dry waste reception booths, while thanking the organizers and trustees of the opening of this project: I thank the head of the waste organization and Maliki from the managers. This collection, which is a part of the Hakimieh station, was provided to us academics.
He added: Together with many students, we experienced zero waste and turned the waste into animal feed.
This university professor said about the method of this action: The separated wastes came to the Hakimieh station and we dried them in the sunlight and sent them to the deprived areas of Lorestan and Khorasan, and it was very well received.
Fayazbakhsh stated: The laboratory results of these wastes were surprising, the final product of the pilot had an average of 17% crude protein, 3327 kcal per gram of digestible energy, 2700 kcal per gram of metabolizable energy, etc.
He pointed out: Now we are producing compost in the city and we know that compost does not have a market and is only used in Tehran. I wish it would become animal feed.
This environmental activist emphasized: separation from the source should be done and the waste should be dried. If this is mechanized, it can provide the required livestock inputs.
In the end, he emphasized: Experts believe that 50% of the animal feed ration can be provided by this method.
