Promoting the scientific activity of “Bird-watching” in the book collection “Watching the Birds”



“Birdwatching” is one of the most popular and well-known branches of nature tourism, which is known and practiced by hundreds of millions of people around the world, according to the General Directorate of Public Relations and International Affairs of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents.

The book “Watching the Birds” written by Parviz Bakhtiari is a three-volume collection suitable for children and adolescents over 12 years old (Nunagah). In these books, the author has tried to acquaint children and adolescents with different species of birds and their life types.

In addition to this information, which can be very informative and valuable for children, one of the important goals of this book series is to promote bird watching and help identify bird values, biodiversity and preserve them for future generations, and create jobs for young people. Educational, cultural, group camps, and family trips should also be considered by teachers, educators, parents, and families.

The author, who is one of the activists, graduates and experts in the fields of environment and nature tourism and has worked and researched in the field of “bird watching” for many years, emphasized in explaining this interesting activity that in Iran children can be educated in many ways such as nature tourism. , Introduced plants, identified ecosystems, identified other creatures, migrated birds and introduced the natural and beautiful places of the country.

Emphasizing the importance and necessity of accurate bird watching and promoting this scientific activity in the country, he also explained that 10,508 species have been observed and recorded in the world and about 555 bird species in Iran.

In the first volume of this collection, Bakhtiari mainly tries to acquaint the readers of the work with the general concepts and importance and methods of “bird watching” and to encourage children to study and research in this field by asking questions and suggestions.

The second and third volumes of this collection also introduce and classify different groups of birds, and the photographs of a number of professional photographers and the layout of Mohammad Ali Adili have added to the visual charms of this visual collection.

This work has been published by the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents in 1400 in three volumes with a circulation of 2,500 copies per volume.
