Providing relief to 20 provinces affected by weather disasters/ emergency accommodation of 671 people during Nowruz

According to the Fars news agency’s health group, Mahmoudi, head of the Red Crescent Society’s Relief and Rescue Organization, said that 27 provinces of the country were affected by unstable weather conditions. During this period of time, Red Crescent relief workers provided relief to 20 provinces, 38 cities and 52 regions including (41 axes, 3 cities and 8 villages).

Pointing out that 4561 people have been helped during this period, he continued: 671 people found emergency accommodation and 8 people were transferred to safe areas and 3 to medical centers.

Mahmoudi added: 84 operational teams, including 301 people, drained the water collected in 16 residential units and freed 149 vehicles from the snow.

The head of the relief organization said: 564 blankets, 197 food packages, 186 bottles of mineral water, 173 loaves of bread, 17 kilograms of dates and 107 packages of biscuits were distributed among the people on the way.

It should be noted that the aid delivery continues in the provinces of Semnan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Mazandaran, Bushehr and South Khorasan.
