According to Fars news agency’s health group, referring to the provision of relief and rescue services in weather-climate disasters, Mahmoudi said: In the last 354 days, rescue operations and services in weather and climate disasters have grown by 15%.

He continued: During this period of time, 2261 cases of rescue operations related to weather disasters, including heavy snowfall, severe temperature drop, snow blizzard, monsoon phenomenon, flooding, etc., have been registered, which resulted in providing relief to 298 thousand people. And 682 people were injured and left on the way. During this period of time, 36 thousand 124 injured people and survivors in emergency accommodation, 354 sick and injured people have been transferred to medical centers and 423 people trapped in snow and floods have been transferred to safe areas.

Mahmoudi added: During this period of time, Red Crescent rescuers participated in 1332 snow and blizzard operations, 864 flood and inundation operations, 33 severe temperature drop operations, 17 typhoon operations and 15 operations in other cases.

The head of Red Crescent Relief Organization, pointing out that most of the rescues in weather disasters happened in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, said: Red Crescent relief workers in this province provide services to 67 thousand 79 people, of which Kohrang city provided relief to 24 One thousand and 461 people received the most services among the cities.
