According to Mehr news agency, Seyyed Solat During the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Mortazavi said: The services and actions during the 4 decades of the Islamic Revolution are commendable for the disabled and able-bodied.
Referring to principles 3, 20 and 21 of the constitution, he added: Fortunately, with the strong orders and recommendations of the president, very worthy measures have been taken in the 13th popular government. Recommendations which is in the line of humbly serving different people, especially the able-bodied and the disabled, and it is in our ears.
The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare stated that we have developed special strategies to support the disabled and able-bodied community, which will be realized by God’s grace, adding: all-round efforts aimed at realizing justice and restoring the rights of the able-bodied and disabled are from the path of expanding social support and economic, increasing the ability of the disabled with technical and professional training, emphasizing the employment of the disabled in the production, service and administrative sectors, activating people’s capacities and mobilizing their social responsibility to attract participation and desirable services and solving the housing problem of the disabled community in the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Is running.
He clarified: Assisting and focusing on social harms, including prevention and treatment of addiction, attention to abused and neglected women and street children are among the duties and tasks that have been placed on the agenda of the ministry and the welfare organization.
Mortazavi considered the provision of housing for the disabled and able-bodied community as one of the most successful programs of the country’s welfare organization.
The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare added: the development of the transparency of the window of the welfare services unit, the inclusiveness and effectiveness of services and social innovations based on knowledge-based sciences, focusing on the prevention of disabilities and social harms, increasing the insurance coverage of service recipients and laying the groundwork for the implementation of general social security policies. On the part of the Supreme Leader, updating the services of beneficiaries and pensioners and using the capacities and capabilities of the target community through the formation of talent search groups, social body building and popularization of well-being to deal with and prevent disabilities and injuries and strengthen community-oriented approaches are the most central programs of the 13th government in the ministry.
