Record 5 million liters of daily gasoline consumption


According to Fars, quoting Shana, Javad Oji, during an intrusive visit to the country’s fuel dispatching center (control and monitoring), stated: The country’s gasoline consumption reached a record 131 million liters on March 19, 2014.

The Minister of Oil continued: The country’s gasoline consumption increased by 23% between March 16 and 18, 2014 with an average daily average of 116 million liters, compared to the same period of 1999 with an average daily average of 95 million liters.

He said: the country’s gasoline consumption has increased by 19% compared to March 2010.

He added: “Refineries, transmission lines and fuel supply stations across the country are fully prepared to supply fuel to the people for Nowruz, and there is no shortage of gasoline and gas supply in the country.”

Oji added: “I thank all the colleagues around the clock, especially in the National Company for Refining and Distribution of Petroleum Products, for sending liquid fuel to industries and power plants, as well as refueling during Nowruz.”
