Reduction of 5320 billion tomans in the debt of banks to the central bank in August


According to the financial news report According to IRNA, the analysis of statistical data shows that the debt of banks to the central bank, which is one of the factors of monetary base growth, liquidity and inflation in Iran’s economy, has decreased by more than 5 thousand billion tomans only in August this year.

Also, in August of this year, the debt of state-owned commercial banks has decreased from 49,640 billion tomans to 45,360 billion tomans.

Also, the debt of private banks and non-governmental credit institutions has increased from 75 thousand 210 billion tomans to 68 thousand 560 billion tomans in August.

According to this report, the debt of specialized government banks reached 57,30 billion tomans in August, which has increased by 5,610 billion tomans compared to the previous month.

The ratio of banks’ debt to the central bank to the total monetary base in August is 25.4%, which shows a decrease of 1.6% compared to July.
