According to Mehr News Agency, citing the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, Mehdi Maskani, the Deputy of Cooperative Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, also stated at the signing ceremony of the joint cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and Tehran Municipality: the main goal The implementation of this memorandum of understanding is cooperation and synergy in the production, supply of housing and renovation of worn-out structures in Tehran with an area of ​​4,700 hectares with the participation of Mahallat housing cooperatives.

Stating that the statutes of neighborhood housing cooperatives have been compiled and finalized, he added: Members of neighborhood housing cooperatives are granted cheap facilities.

The Deputy of Cooperative Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare considered the development of cooperative-oriented popular partnerships in the neighborhoods of Tehran as one of the social goals of this memorandum.

Maskani mentioned improving the productivity of the land through the collection of worn-out license plates and providing high-quality housing in the city of Tehran as other goals of the implementation of this memorandum and said: Tehran City Renewal Organization and the office of distribution cooperatives form a joint committee for the implementation of this memorandum.

He pointed out that the formation of neighborhood housing cooperatives and the introduction of construction and mass-building cooperatives to participate in the projects of revitalizing worn-out structures are the responsibility of the deputy of cooperative affairs.
