According to Fars News Agency’s economic correspondent, Seyed Miad Salehi, the new CEO of the Railway Company, while emphasizing the importance of the country’s railway sector, said: “Considering the size of the country, which has distances of over one thousand kilometers, more attention should be paid to the railway industry.”

Salehi continued: “In my opinion, the most important type of transportation is rail transportation.”

The CEO of the Railway Company, stating that several meetings have been held so far around the corridors, said: “According to the discussions, we need to have an outlet in this regard and with the cooperation of the Program and Budget Organization and the Administrative and Employment Affairs Organization we can solve problems, because Failure to do so may result in project frustration.

“We hope to set up corridors with the help of the parliament and the government and with the cooperation of the institutions,” he said. “In the discussion of modernization, the priority is to support domestic production.”

Miad Salehi stated: “We have suspended capacities and we must use them to advance both the freight and passenger issues and provide funding from various channels.”

He said: “Owners of experience and ideas in the field of freight will experience more outdoor space than before to increase the productivity of the field.”
