Return to Vienna talks to happen in the not too distant future – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna, announced on his Twitter account that a return to the Vienna negotiating table would be pursued in the not-too-distant future.

“Participation in the Vienna talks is voluntary,” Ulyanov tweeted about Russia’s role in Iran’s return to the UN Security Council. These talks are in the interests of all parties, including Iran. There is no reason to believe that Tehran is unwilling to continue this process.

According to the senior Russian diplomat, a return to the negotiating table is a time-consuming issue that will happen in the not-too-distant future.

Following the illegal withdrawal of the United States from the Borjam agreement on May 6, 2016, the three European member states of the agreement criticized the action of the Donald Trump administration and, while declaring their commitment to the Borjam, pledged to Iran to reap the economic benefits promised in this agreement. They compensate.

Despite these promises, the three European countries did not take any practical action to compensate for the illegal withdrawal of the United States from the UN Security Council, despite announcing their verbal positions on their commitment to the UN Security Council and even launching a propaganda campaign on the Instax mechanism.

Following these measures, the Islamic Republic of Iran, in six steps and in six steps in accordance with Articles 36 and 37 of the UN Security Council, has reduced its nuclear obligations under this agreement and has repeatedly stated that if the Western parties return to their own UN Security Council, Iran will take action. Compensation will return to the previous process.

Following Joe Biden’s victory in the US presidential election and his replacement for Donald Trump, he and senior members of his administration have repeatedly announced their readiness to return to Burjam. Iran and the United States agreed to return to Borjam.

Despite announcing progress in the Vienna talks to bring the United States back to the UN Security Council and reduce Iran’s retaliatory measures, some issues, such as Biden’s representatives’ insistence on the Trump administration’s anti-Iranian stance, have stalled the talks.

One area of contention in the negotiations is the US insistence on maintaining some of the sanctions imposed on Iran by the Donald Trump administration after its withdrawal from the UN Security Council. The Biden administration has stated that it can not guarantee that the next US administration will not withdraw from the UN Security Council.

In addition, US government officials have already stated that they intend to use the entry into the UN Security Council as a “platform” to address other disputes, including missile and regional issues.
