Rising dust and reducing air quality in some provinces of the country


According to Moj News Agency, Sadegh Ziyaian, head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks, said about the country’s weather conditions: based on the analysis of the latest meteorological forecast maps, today Friday (August 21) in parts of the western shores of the Caspian Sea and the heights of Western Alborz and Zagros. In the center of the cloud, scattered rain, sometimes thunder and wind are predicted.

He continued: From today to Tuesday (August 21 to 25) in parts of the southern half of Sistan and Baluchistan and Hormozgan in the afternoon and early night, the growth of convective clouds, showers and thunderstorms, sometimes strong winds and dust are expected. Relatively stable weather will prevail.

According to the head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks, during the next five days, in the eastern half of the country, especially in the Zabul region, strong winds with dust and in areas prone to dust storms will cause reduced visibility and reduced air quality. Also, in the next two days, due to strong wind blowing and rising dust in Iraq and its transfer to the western and southwestern borders of the country, the phenomenon of dust and reduction of air quality is expected.

He added: Today and tomorrow (August 21 and 22) the eastern and central areas of the Caspian Sea, the northern Persian Gulf and the eastern Oman Sea will be rough, and from Sunday to Tuesday (August 23 to 25) the Oman Sea and the Strait of Hormuz will be rough.

The head of the National Center for Forecasting and Crisis Management of Weather Risks stated about the weather situation in Tehran during the next two days: the sky in Tehran will be clear tomorrow (August 22) and sometimes windy with a minimum temperature of 24 and a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and on Sunday (August 23). It is expected to be smooth and windy with a minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius.

In the end, Ziyaian said: Today and tomorrow (August 21st and 22nd), Ahvaz is the hottest with a temperature of 51 and 49 degrees Celsius, and Shahrekord is the coldest with a temperature of 13 and 11 degrees Celsius.
