RX 6000S laptop graphics with 6nm technology for the first season 2022

website Videocardz AMD reports that it plans to launch Radeon RX 6000S laptop graphics with 6-nanometer technology soon. According to a published report, the Red team will launch its RDNA 2 mobile chips under a series of refreshments, perhaps called the Radeon RX 6000S. In fact, the suffix S will only indicate whether the GPU in this family is a refresh.

There have already been rumors about the possibility of launching 6-nanometer RDNA 2 models, and it looks like information will finally be released in the first quarter of 2022 or at CES 2022. The new refresh graphics are reportedly called the Radeon RX 6000S, and use TSMC 6-nanometer lithography, which provides 18% higher density at the same power consumption. This, along with other optimizations, will undoubtedly result in faster clock speeds and higher consumption.

Of course, the exact models have not been determined yet. In fact, AMD has not even introduced low-end laptop chips such as the Radeon RX 6500M and Radeon RX 6300M, and we are unlikely to see them refresh. However, it is possible that the Red team will move on to Navi 22 and Navi 23 based graphics. At the moment, we can imagine on paper that the flagship mobile phone with the Navi 22 chip is called the Radeon RX 6800S (the successor to the Radeon RX 6800M).

Apart from that, the Radeon RX 6000S RDNA 2 refresh line-up from AMD competes with Intel’s ARC Alchemist line-up, which happens to use TSMC 6-nanometer manufacturing technology. The GeForce RTX 30 series will undoubtedly be in this competition, and of course, with the presence of new Rembrandt APUs, the situation will be much more attractive.
