Saving 2 billion liters of gasoline by improving the intersections of the capital

According to Fars report, Abbas Shabani, in the ceremony of starting the construction and completion of 23 non-level intersections at the same time as the 19th Saturday of Omid and Iftikhar, said: So far, 9 Saturdays of Omid and Iftikhar have been the share of the technical and civil department.

Referring to air pollution, the Technical and Civil Deputy of Tehran Municipality said: We have done our share in the technical and civil fields. At present, more than 700 kilometers of Tehran’s roads lead to gasoline wastage, and these 700 kilometers lead to the consumption of 600,000 liters of gasoline and the same issue leads to environmental and social consequences.

He continued: If these intersections are repaired in a 10-year period, more than 2 billion liters of gasoline will be saved.

Stating that 7 intersections have been built, Shabani said: 8 more intersections are on the agenda, 6 kilometers of which will be opened this year, and the executive operation of 23 intersections will be done today.

He also stated: 14 regions will be involved in this 23 project and it will benefit all the people of Tehran.
