Screening of uncensored films in UAE / religion cinemas in emirates fades?

According to Fars News Agency, quoting ABC News, The United Arab Emirates will no longer censor movies that are shown in cinemas in this country. This is the UAE’s effort to strengthen its brand as an attractive liberal center for foreigners!

Instead of interrupting scenes that could provoke traditional Islamic sensitivities, the UAE Media Regulatory Authority introduces an age group of +21 to viewers.

“These films will be released in cinemas according to their international version,” an Emirati official wrote on Twitter.

Censors in the UAE, like elsewhere in the Middle East, have long removed scenes from movies that are considered nudity, homosexuality, sex scenes, and other inappropriate content.

The number of foreigners in the federation of seven sheikhdoms is close to nine more than one local. The diversity of culture and religion in this country has been dependent on tourism, sometimes in conflict with its Islamic laws and traditions.
