Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia meets with the Iranian Ambassador in Yerevan
According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Badakhshan Zohuri, on Monday to review the latest developments in the region and Tehran’s relations with Yerevan.

The two sides discussed several other issues on the agenda of Armenia and Iran. The Iranian ambassador stressed that Tehran is trying to strengthen its relations with the friendly country of Armenia at the highest level.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said on Monday that after meeting with the Armenian Foreign Minister, Ararat Mirzoyan, in a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart in Tehran, the relations between Iran and Armenia are constructive and growing.
He added that a very important meeting between Dr. Raisi and Mr. Pashinyan took place in the Tajik capital Dushanbe on the sidelines of the SCO summit.
“The top officials of the two countries reached agreements on various issues and at the strategic level on Monday, and my good colleague and I were obliged to draw and finalize a new roadmap for relations between the two countries in Tehran today,” he said.
He added that today, in addition to good political relations, we agreed to develop cooperation in all fields of economy, trade and tourism.
Our Foreign Minister further stated that trade and operation of the Armenian transit route are among the issues of concern to both countries.
