While rumors of a hacker attack on Facebook have surfaced, a Twitter account claimed that the hackers had deleted some of Facebook’s information and that the data might never be returned.

As of around 8 pm last night, Facebook and its affiliates, namely Instagram and WhatsApp, were completely shut down and users could not access them. These problems have not yet been completely resolved, but it has been a few minutes since some users reported the problem being solved and access to these social networks, and for this reason, it seems that the services of these networks are gradually returning to normal.

There has been no official word on the cause of the long-running outage, but some news outlets have reported a hacking attack on Facebook, which has not yet been officially confirmed. Some news agencies have reported that a 13-year-old Chinese hacker named Seon Jisu attacked these social networks and caused problems in their operation. Privacy Affairs and Rasha Today also claimed that Facebook had been hacked and that the information of their 1.5 billion users had been sold on the Dark Web.

According to published reports, this information includes users’ names, emails, contact numbers, locations, genders, and ID numbers. Of course, information about Facebook users was published on the Dark Web last year, but the media outlets claim that this information, which is now being sold, is new and related to 2021.

Is part of Facebook information deleted?

Meanwhile, a Twitter account tweeted that people had deleted the original Facebook codes and that some of the social network’s information might never be returned. Some Twitter users also say that there is a possibility of damaging Instagram information.

So far, the hacking attack on Facebook, the sale of users’ information, and the damage to the information of this social network and Instagram have not been confirmed, but now various rumors in this regard are circulating in the media and cyberspace, which it is not clear whether they are true or not.
