SecurityVision unveiled a 200-megapixel sensor with the smallest pixel size in the world


The era of high megapixels in mobile cameras has begun and with the introduction of the 200-megapixel sensor of Samsung HP1 isocell, now it is the turn of security-vision to unveil its 200-megapixel camera called OVBOB for smartphones. With a size of 0.61 micrometers, this camera offers the smallest pixel size among the sensors.

This product uses a unique 16-unit integration technique and offers high quality outputs in 12.5 megapixel mode, especially in low light environments. The company’s 200-megapixel sensor is the first to feature quad-phase detection technology.

For the first time, the new Security Vision camera uses 16-cell integration for 4K or 2K video. The sensitivity of this sensor is 16 times that of similar products on the market. The OVBOB camera achieves 12.5 megapixel images in low light environments with 4×4 integration technique and will have pixels with a size of 2.44 micrometers.

Specifications of 200-megapixel security-vision sensor

The Security Vision sensor supports 50-megapixel video recording at 24 frames per second and 8K video at 30 frames per second. In addition, the camera can have HDR output with three exposures at 12.5 megapixels at 30 frames per second. The security sensor also supports dual CPHY, DPHY and DOVDD.

At the moment, no information has been released about the release date of this sensor and its host handsets. However, it is expected that Security Vision will release more information in the near future. It is also possible that Samsung will launch its first 200-megapixel sensor in 2023.

Rumor has it that companies such as Xiaomi, Motorola and Samsung themselves are looking to launch products with a 200-megapixel camera, but it is unclear how serious the rumors are and when we will be able to see them on the market.
