Seeley Will Smith is not stopping “Bad Boys 4” from being made

Martin Lawrence believes that Will Smith’s Oscar win will not prevent “Bad Boys 4” from being made.

Charso Press: Seeley Will Smith won’t cancel “Bad Boys 4” and at least one more movie will be made in the series.

Martin Lawrence, Will Smith’s co-star in this film, said in an interview that at least one more film of the “Bad Boys” action series will be made.

In January 2020, when Bad Boys Forever hit the box office, Sony decided to make a fourth film, and it was said that Chris Bremner would write it and Jerry Bruckheimer would produce it.

In this series, Lawrence and Smith played the roles of detectives Marcus Brent and Mike Lowry.

Lawrence said about the first part of the movie in 1995: It was a great movie. To prove together that we can be successful and bring people to the movies – that 2 black stars, 2 TV series stars can make the box office, was a really different experience.

The first “Bad Boys” grossed $141 million, “Bad Boys 2” grossed $273 million in 2003, and “Bad Boys Forever” grossed $426 million worldwide in 2020. This movie was one of the last blockbusters that brought people to theaters before the pandemic and closing the doors of cinemas.

People were waiting to see how Sony would react to the fourth film after Smith got upset over Chris Rock’s joke on his wife at the Oscars and slapped him on stage. Smith, who won an Academy Award at the same ceremony, was dropped from several upcoming projects, and Apple delayed the release of Will Smith’s drama Freedom until 2023. Smith was banned from attending the Oscar ceremony for 10 years.
