Sending women tour guides to the Dubai Expo



Ali Asghar Shalbafian, Deputy Minister of Tourism, in a meeting with Alireza Peymanpak, Deputy Minister and Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, and colleagues in both fields, at noon on Wednesday, December 8, 1400, The aim was to send four women tour guides to the Dubai Expo, she said. “To take an effective step towards preserving the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this event.”

He added that the first part of Iran’s pavilion in the expo is dedicated to the tourism sector, adding: “Specialist tour guides have tried to transfer information at a professional level.”

Shalbafian pointed out that about two weeks ago, the first guidance team was sent to Dubai to explain the capacities and answer the questions of the visitors of the Islamic Republic of Iran pavilion, adding: “Now, with the continued deployment of guides, the opportunity has been exploited at a decent level.”

The Deputy Minister of Tourism emphasized: “So far, the dispatch and activity of specialized tourism guides in the Iran pavilion has received very favorable feedback, and in our efforts, especially in prominent and national events where various programs will be performed in the pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran, worthy hosting of visitors.”

“In addition to expressing the country’s capabilities and answering questions through augmented reality glasses, the expedition guide group will also try to encourage visitors to virtually watch the country’s tourist attractions,” Shalbafian added.

“Social experience, social skills, mastery of international languages, as well as reviewing the results of domestic and foreign tours, have been influential in the selection of expedition guides,” he added.

According to the Deputy Minister of Tourism, the expedition team will also create a map for the content of this major international event, and the information gathered by them will be disseminated to local stakeholders.

In the end, Shalbafian thanked the support of the Ministry of Silence, the Development and Trade Organization and the International Exhibitions Company for their worthy cooperation in advancing joint programs and the worthy presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Dubai Expo event.

Also in this meeting, Alireza Peymanpak, Deputy Minister and Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran and Hassan Zamani, CEO of Iran International Exhibitions Company, each presented a report on the measures taken to participate in this important event.

Referring to the important role of guides in our country’s pavilion, Peyman Pak said: “The number of visitors to the pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran has exceeded 600,000, which is undoubtedly due to the presence and high participation of tour guides.”

The expo, which started on October 30, 1400 and will be held for six months, until April 11, 1401 in Dubai, UAE.
