Shalbafian: Tourism is an important part of Iran’s transformation document / The need for spiritual support of the World Tourism Organization from the “Nosadeh” event in 1401


According to Fars News Agency, Ali Asghar Shalbafian on the sidelines of the 24th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) which is being held from 9 to 12 December on “Innovation, education, rural development to build a better future” in Spain, with Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, also met with Iranian Ambassador to Spain Hassan Qashqavi.

In this meeting, the issue of the importance of the tourism industry in the transformation document of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran as one of the important achievements and its positive effects were explained.

The process of holding an international conference on rural tourism, which was postponed due to the Corona pandemic, was also reviewed and it was suggested that the event be to be held in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdistan; By changing the title of hosting with urban tourism content in Tehran and with the cooperation of Abbasabad Renovation Complex of Tehran Municipality.

In addition, due to the arrival of Iran in Nussedeh in 1401 and considering that this event occurs only in Iran and Afghanistan, so the Deputy Minister of Tourism called for the spiritual support of the World Tourism Organization.

In this meeting, Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, emphasized on the good relations between this organization and the Islamic Republic of Iran and called on our country to support his Secretary General for the period 2022 to 2025. However, this support will only be possible through the member states of the Executive Council.

He also came up with the idea of ​​writing during Nowruz, which is celebrated in the region; Supported.

Pololikashvili called for the finalization of the establishment of the Center for Handicrafts and Tourism, and also raised the issue of starting the cooperation process in stages and by holding training workshops and so on.
