Specifications of Ryzen 9 6900HX revealed – Zen 3+ and Radeon 680M

According to rumors that the website Wccftech Released specifications of AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX future mobile processor revealed. Apparently, this chip will not only use the 6-nanometer Zen 3 Plus and RDNA 2 microarchitecture, but also the integrated graphic name (brand) will be different from before.

The website claims that the next-generation Navi 2 graphics will be known as the Radeon RX 680M. This particular model, as we said, is called the Ryzen 9 6900HX, which is now known as the flagship of the Rembrandt APU series. Unfortunately, we do not know how many units the RX 680M has, but Rembrandt silicon will contain up to 12 units.

As expected, the Ryzen 9 6900HX is a 16-core 8-core model with 16MB of Level 3 cache and 4MB of Level 2 cache. According to the HX extension, the thermal power of this model will be more than 45 watts, because we are on the side of an open-factor model, but the exact amount depends on the type of installation of laptop manufacturers. The maximum boost frequency of the 6900HX is 4.6 GHz, which is similar to the 5900HX.

AMD’s new APU supports DDR5 4800 memory, and at least there is no mention of DDR4 support that Intel Alder Lake P series supports. Earlier, it was announced that 65-watt desktop APUs will be released in the third quarter of the new year. Most likely, the name of their integrated graphics will also change.

AMD is currently expected to unveil the Ryzen 6000 series of notebook processors during its CES 2022 conference on January 4.
