Students’ requests for virtual exams / face-to-face exams are in conflict with virtual education

Ali Amrayi, a member of the Transparency and Justice Watch Training Commission, said in an interview with a Fars News Agency education reporter: In April of this year, the National Corona Headquarters correctly ordered the classes to be held in person; This order was implemented in many universities for a few days, but unfortunately, many universities returned to the virtualization process.

He added: “Due to the fact that at the time of selecting the unit, virtual classes were to be held, students also registered their courses throughout the week due to the virtual nature of the classes, and some students have a curriculum from Saturday to Thursday, while class hours It is also scattered, for example, a student has two classes in one day, one in the morning and one in the evening, who must stay at the university from morning to evening and wait for the evening class.

Noting that the two years of education have been virtual, Amrayi added: “In the short time that the universities were present, non-native students faced the problem of lack of dormitory and resting place, and this issue led to virtual education again in some units.”

He added: “We believe that in theoretical courses, especially at the undergraduate level, where the number of students in most classes is more than 30, the education is currently virtual, but we strongly oppose holding virtual classes for practical units, especially in medical universities.”

A member of the Transparency and Justice Guard Commission continued: “Now is the time for student exams, but there is talk of face-to-face exams, while face-to-face exams are in conflict with virtual education.”

“We are against these conditions with face-to-face exams and there are no preparations for face-to-face exams,” he said. And God willing, from the new academic semester, universities should think about dormitories for students, and all students should seriously participate in classes and face-to-face exams at all times, so that we no longer see the reluctance of some people to study and drop out of students and universities.

Amrayi added: “Our request is that, given that the selection of students’ units has been scattered and since the beginning of the semester, most of the professors have been teaching virtual, the final exams for theoretical units, especially in the virtual undergraduate level.”
