According to the report of Fars News Agency’s Shahri reporter, Abdul Mathar Mohammad Khani, the spokesperson of Tehran Municipality, stated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition of sister cities and the capabilities of Tehran’s urban management: Tehran has as many mayors as there are residents and caring citizens, and the capital of Iran is governed by Tehran Municipality and all its citizens.

He added: “A real and deep look at religious democracy tells us that the administration of the city with and for the people is the cornerstone of the city’s excellence.”
