At the beginning of this visit, the prosecutor of Tehran, accompanied by the deputy governor (special governor of Ray city), the general director of prisons of Tehran province, the head of Tehran road police and a group of deputies and military and executive forces of Tehran, from the widened Charamshahr road leading to Tehran prison. , visited.
For many years, due to the narrow width of Chermshahr road axis and in the area of Bozor prison, many accidents happen there. By the order of the Tehran prosecutor and the cooperation of the executive institutions, a large part of this road was widened with a credit of 50 billion Rials. The traffic police show that after the widening of the Chermshahr Amar road, the accidents on this axis have decreased significantly.
After visiting the Cheramshahr road, in a meeting held at the police office on the Fashafoye road in Tehran, the prosecutor of Tehran, while thanking Governor Shahrari for his time in following up on the problems of this road and improving the area of the Greater Tehran prison, said: “There are five kilometers left to complete.” More credit is needed, for which the governor of Shahrari has promised to provide one hundred billion Rials for the completion of the remaining three kilometers.
Following his visit, Salehi, together with the deputies and prosecutors of the cities of Tehran province, entered the Greater Tehran prison and participated in the meeting “Evaluation of the employment status of prisoners in Tehran province”.
In this meeting, a report on the employment status of prisoners in Tehran province was presented by Motahranjad, the CEO of the Prisons Cooperative Foundation of the country, and Hojjatul Islam and Muslimeen Ahmad Ali Firouzjaei, the deputy prosecutor of Tehran for prisons affairs.
In the continuation of this meeting, Ali Salehi, the prosecutor of Tehran, stated that the policies of the Head of the Judiciary regarding handling the affairs of prisoners and reducing the criminal population are being diligently pursued, and stated: the judicial system’s view of the prison population is a sociological and psychological view. And it is cultural.
He added: Although one of the important policies of the judicial system is to reduce the criminal population; However, criminal acts such as violent robberies and kidnappings are not to be pitied, and those who interfere with people’s lives and property, and disrupt security through intimidation and violence, should not be appeased at all.
The prosecutor of Tehran continued: “Judges should not be tolerant in this regard, and I urge all my colleagues to take this important issue seriously.”
He stated that those who commit light crimes and do not harm the society; They are subject to legal bonds, he said: Judges should have continuous supervision regarding the accused who are in the custody of judicial officers, and on the other hand, they should respect the accused in an ethical and Islamic way.
Emphasis on the issuing of judicial sentences instead of imprisonment by the district judges of the courthouses
Emphasizing the use of alternative prison sentences such as semi-open employment, electronic restraints, holidays and the use of other legal capacities, Salehi stated: Our expectations from the Prisoners’ Cooperative Foundation are much higher than the current situation and this situation must be improved because it is necessary. that more capacities are used to employ prisoners and solve their and their families’ problems.
He stated that the professional training activities of prisoners should be doubled, and said: a patient, once he is released from prison, should be able to live like a normal citizen in the society, work and be useful to the society.
There are 10,000 empty capacities in the prisons of the province
On the sidelines of this meeting, Heshmatullah Hayat al-Ghaib, Director General of Prisons in Tehran province, stated that there are 7,000 prisoners in Tehran province working in workshops, and stated: “During the past two years, we did not have a free voting prisoner in Tehran’s prisons, but today this number is more than 1,000.” 800 people have reached and we plan to increase this number to 5 thousand people by the end of September this year.
The director general of prisons in Tehran province stated that there are currently 10,000 vacant capacities in the prisons of the province and stated: We are ready to provide the available space in the prisons of Tehran province to the Prisoners Employment Cooperative Foundation of the country.
In continuation of his visit schedule, the Tehran prosecutor visited the “ostrich breeding farm”, the gardens and fields of Fashafoye, which are managed by the semi-open prisoners of Fashafoye, together with the deputies and officials of Tehran prison.
Also, Salehi attended sewing workshops of handmade and artistic products of Zamdadjoyan in Fashafouye Sarkashi prison and closely talked with the prisoners and was informed about their demands and problems, and the necessary orders were issued by the Tehran prosecutor to solve the problems of some of these people.
The prosecutor of Tehran visited the rehabilitation camp for drug addicts in Fashafoye prison and ordered to use the empty sheds for the use of the Tehran Prisoners’ Cooperative Foundation and to employ more prisoners in order to improve the employment situation and use potential capacities.
Hojjatul-Islam Ahmad Ali Firouzjaei, Tehran’s Deputy Prosecutor for Prison Affairs, while presenting a report on the employment of prisoners in the Fashafoye semi-open prison, stated: “Fadak Supporters Agriculture and Industry Company” affiliated with Prisoners’ Cooperative Foundation with 102 employees in the fields of animal husbandry, agriculture, horticulture and Tailoring is in operation, but there are more opportunities and capacities for employment, and the Prisoners’ Cooperative Foundation of the country needs to have continuous plans in this field.
