The head of Gonbadkavus Tourism Cultural Heritage and Handicrafts Department noted: Currently, 3,500 Turkmen needlework artists are working in Gonbadkavos city, except for traditional embroidery, such as traditional Baloch embroidery and embroidery.
He emphasized: The first educational workshop and scientific conference of Turkmen needlework will be held from 27 to 29 September in a theoretical, practical and scientific manner along with visiting the tourist attractions and handicraft arts of Gonbadkavos city with the presence of artists from all over the country at the Islamic Azad University of Gonbadkavos branch.
Agh Atabai stated: In this educational workshop, there will be design and motifs workshop (yarn spinning and wiring workshop), needlework workshop, black embroidery workshop and Alwan embroidery workshop, white embroidery workshop (Sarchian and Alaja), cortikan and plantain sewing workshop in a scientific and face-to-face format for 40 people. It is held by artists from all over the country and at the end of the workshops and exam, they receive a valid certificate from the technical and professional.
He noted: In the past years, the border village of “Tangli” was registered as a needlework village where the majority of its people are engaged in this artistic field.

Agh-Atabai stated: holding ritual ceremonies such as “dagger dance”, maintenance and breeding of camels and horses by the Turkmen people, ritual wedding ceremony of this people, etc. will be held in the form of a ritual program during the conference for the participants.
