This art event titled “I am from Jerusalem to Al-Quds” and was organized by Astan Quds Razavi Communication and Media Center with the aim of supporting the defenseless people of Gaza, and 14 of the prominent visual artists of the country presented their works of art on the subject of Palestine and the resistance front. Master Masoud Najabati, a well-known designer and artist of our country, who participated in this event, he says about this event: In addition to my Muslim duty, the reason for my participation is my desire to be with the people of Gaza, and I hope that this effort will be effective.

The plan that I depicted in this event is actually a part of verse 114 of Surah Al-Baqarah, in which God promised the help of the believers and said: “Be aware, God’s help is near.” This verse is the basis of my work and we hope that this difficult, unfortunate and bitter situation that we are witnessing in Palestine will lead to victory and God willing, the people of Gaza will see the result of their patience and resistance.

The big obstacle to the fulfillment of divine promises is that the minds of the world are still not aware of a series of issues, that is, there is still no preparation for the fulfillment of some promises such as the appearance of Imam al-Zaman (a.s.) and some promised divine blessings. Preparation and acceptance takes place when art and media also play their role well and it is explained, that we say Israel should be removed from the scene of the times, it should be explained, because for some people it may not be completely clear why it should be removed. to be We see news inside the country, but this news does not necessarily reach the ears of the world, art and the media must clarify this issue for the world.

Alireza Khaleghi, with 40 years of artistic experience, was one of the participants in the art event “Man Al-Quds to Al-Quds”, who made the image of a Palestinian father and son the subject of his painting. He spoke about this artistic event as follows: I have been painting for 40 years and in the field of revolutionary works, I was able to participate in cultural events. My purpose of participating in this event is to show the oppression of the children of Gaza and the brutality of the Zionist occupation regime, and in this one month we witness the martyrdom of our children in Palestine, and the mission of us artists is to show the sacrifices and bravery of these children with our pen. Let’s take a picture and show it to people.

My design is taken from the pictures I saw in the news, which shows a father with his son, who mourns at the bedside of his martyred son. Visual arts, poetry, etc. have a greater impact on the audience and usually portray the pain of society from other angles. I hope that with this art we can have an impact on the uninformed conscience because one of our goals is to inform a part of human societies that may be These crimes are unknown.

Saeed Khatami, another artist present at this event, says about the subject of the work he is portraying: In this work, I have depicted Jesus (pbuh) in a different way so that it will be noticed by other religions. In the middle of the panel, a chafieh is depicted and instead of the two hands of Christ, I have drawn two wings, which I believe is a symbol of the crucifixion of Palestine.

In this work, in addition to emphasizing the necessity of an interfaith approach to the Palestinian issue, a deep similarity between Palestine and the crucified Christ is established, as if he is asking for the help of the world to save another Christ. Painting can communicate with all the people of the world and it doesn’t matter where the audience is from, this painting also has its own language and I hope it can be influential.

The role of Mazloumit, a 5-year-old girl from Gaza, on the canvas of a Mashhad painter

On the sidelines of this event, Mehdi Amini, master painter of Mashhad, said about the importance of conveying the concept with the language of art: An artwork like a painting can be effective in informing the audience. The direct communication of the artist with the people is very effective and unfortunately this communication has faded and such events are a very good thing because the audience communicates directly with the artist.

Drawing is a common language and therefore the best way to convey a message. In this event, I depicted a work that shows a 5-year-old girl from Gaza, whose questioning look shows her lost hopes and dreams and has lost her enthusiasm. This little girl is standing behind the burning city of Gaza and next to her is a wall that shows her childhood drawings of her house and tree on fire.

Visualization of resistance in the eyes of the pioneer of visual arts

Abbas Barzgar Ganji, one of the artists present at the event “Man al-Quds to Al-Quds”, also stating that he has been active in the field of visual works since a young age, says: I was lucky to attend this event and play a small role with the language of art. To act in response to the crimes of the occupying Israeli regime and the oppression of the people of Gaza.

In the media, a picture was shown of a 10-year-old boy sitting next to his wounded brother and teaching him to recite the shahadin. This picture was very symbolic for me, and I became sure that the people of Gaza are doing things that should be envied. They learned. Every idea and ideal when placed in the path of art has a good output and affects people. According to him, art is beyond ordinary news and the artist tells a story in the form of art that is beyond people’s imaginations, in fact the artist sees reality in a different way and presents it beautifully.

In this work, I depicted Quds in a different way. Quds is a rock that we know as the Dome of the Rock and it is the place where the Prophet (PBUH) ascended. In this work, one hand of a child is on the dome and the other hand is touching the stones to show with this image that although It is small, but it stands up against oppression to the extent of its wealth.

The capacity of art to resonate with Palestine

Mohsen Houshmand, the head of the Astan Quds Razavi Media and Communication Center, as the founder of this program and on the sidelines of the opening of the event, said: The art and media event “Man Al-Quds to Al-Quds” contains the message that revolutionary artists work to support the oppressed, especially the oppressed people of Palestine. and they use their capacities to agree with them. In addition to this artistic effort, extensive planning has been done for media coverage and republishing of the productions of this event in order to reflect it in international dimensions and in this way to support the people of Gaza.

Artists participating in this event will produce works in the fields of painting and drawing centered on solidarity with the Islamic Resistance Front, and at the end of the event, these works will be used and republished in different formats.
