The astronomical price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 folding phone has been revealed!

Samsung is preparing to unveil the next generation of its foldable phones next month, and now we see the price of one of them revealed. According to a new report, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will arrive with a base price of €1,299, which represents a significant price increase over the previous generation.

Samsung will unveil its latest products at its next Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea in early August. One of the stars of the event will be the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with its large external display, which apparently causes a significant increase in its price.

Possible price of Galaxy Z Flip 5

According to Information from Greece Leaked, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will cost €1,299 in the base version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For comparison, we should mention the price of the same version of Galaxy Z Flip 4, which is equal to 1099 euros. Therefore, apparently, we will face a 20% price increase.

We must point out that due to taxes, the prices of products in European countries are different, however, such a difference will be less than 50 euros. Therefore, you should not expect the Galaxy Z Flip 5 to be sold in some European countries at the same price of 1099 euros as the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

If the recent report is true, one of the main reasons for this price increase could be the use of a larger external display. Samsung will use a much larger external display in the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which will increase the production cost of this device. Also, the Koreans go for a new hinge that eliminates the gap between the internal display when closed.

Apparently, Samsung wants to charge more from users for these features, and for this reason, we will see an increase in the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
