Sadegh Barzegar said today in an interview with Aria Heritage News Agency regarding the transfer of the Babylon Museum: Paying attention to the Supreme Leader’s visit to Mazandaran in 1974 and one of the approvals of his visit was the establishment of a museum in the province because Mazandaran did not have a museum at that time. The Supreme Leader’s visit approved a memorandum of understanding between the municipality of Babol and the cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Mazandaran that the municipal administration of this city, which belonged to the time of Pahlavi I, will be given to this administration for the establishment of a museum.

Barzegar continued: After this agreement, the municipal building was restored and renovated, and in 1976, the first museum of the province was launched under the name of Mazandaran History.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Mazandaran stated that since the mid-90s, the Babol Seminary, considering that in the past and during the Safavid era, it was operating near the treasure of Qadirieh School of Religious Sciences, said: Babol Theological Seminary based on the endowments At that time, he claimed that this treasure was built in the field of this school of religious sciences.

Barzegar clarified: This rent has not been paid yet, that’s why on April 14th of this year, the seminary will get the order to vacate and seal this building in order to find a new use for the school of religious sciences and the seminary.

Emphasizing that this museum was the only museum in Babol city and most important of all the approvals of the supreme leader’s trip to the province, he noted: In the meeting attended by the governor, a lease agreement was signed between the cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Mazandaran and the seminary. Babylon is closed until the rent is paid monthly or annually.

Barzegar clarified: With the announcement of the amount of the requested rent of Ganjineh Babol seminary and the legal procedures will be restarted, and due to its location in the city center and its social consequences, the seminary agrees to be leased to the heritage. .
