The change of managers of Tehran municipality continues/review of new appointments in evaluation committees

According to the Fars news agency’s urban group, Abdul Mathar Mohammad Khani, the spokesperson of Tehran Municipality, referring to the news of the appointment of the head of the metro operation company and the beginning of some changes on the eve of the first anniversary of Tehran Municipality, said: Simultaneously with the first anniversary of the new urban management, the transformation in senior managers is serious. It is followed by the mayor of the capital.

He added: One of the measures taken by the mayor of Tehran was to issue one-year terms to all deputies, heads of organizations, and regional mayors, so that their extension depends on the serious evaluation and review of their performance, the degree of success in achieving the goals of urban management, the demands of the people, and solving the city’s problems.

Mohammad Khani emphasized: For this reason, from the very beginning, the evaluation of managers, evaluation and monitoring of programs, as well as the level of people’s satisfaction with the field of performance from different departments were investigated.

The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality said: These changes will happen in the first stage at the level of CEOs of organizations and companies with the priority of the people’s main demand, which is urban transportation.

He added: “Serious delays in previous periods and the accumulation of problems caused by it in the field of public transport fleet, especially the metro, have caused the need for double efforts and faster speed to respond to people’s demands in this sector.”

Mohammad Khani continued: The upcoming changes are based on the results of the evaluation committees and on the proposal of the deputies of the relevant areas to the mayor.

The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality added: Of course, these changes do not mean to question the colleagues who worked in this field so far. All the dear ones who joined the city management group during different stages are worthy and hardworking, but the main issue and priority is the very high speed in solving the city’s problems and accompanying the people’s wishes and the ability to respond to the demands of the city council representatives.

Stating that these changes will continue in the coming days, Mohammad Khani said: In the coming days, we will see changes with the same approach in the field of CEOs of companies and regional mayors.

In the end, he pointed to the extension of the sentences of a significant part of the managers in the coming weeks and emphasized: the subject of limited and case-specific changes will be based on technical evaluations and with the aim of speeding up the delivery of services to the noble people of Tehran.
