The Chinese illegal fishing is monitored by a marine tracking system

According to IRNA on Sunday, a US official told Reuters in an interview with the Financial Times about the naval initiative proposed by the Quad member states at the Tokyo summit. According to the plan, satellite technology will be installed for illegal fishing in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, which will be connected to monitoring centers in Singapore and India.

Accordingly, this maritime tracking system allows these countries to monitor all illegal fishing, even when fishing boats cut off their transmitters.

During his visit to Japan, US President Joe Biden met with other Quad members, including Japan, Australia and India, to focus on increasing cooperation to counter China’s growing claims and influence in the region.

US-India Oceania Coordinator Kurt Campbell announced earlier this month that the United States would soon launch plans to combat illegal fishing in the region.

Many countries in the Indo-Pacific region face tensions with China’s large fishing vessels, arguing that Chinese vessels often violate the rules of monopoly economic zones, causing environmental damage and damage in the region.
