The end of the “forty” mission of 8,000 traffic police officers after 25 days


Sardar Seyed Taimur Hosseini, deputy of the country’s traffic police, who is currently in Mehran, announced the end of the country’s traffic police mission in Arbaeen Hosseini, in an interview with Fars news agency’s police reporter.

He said: 8,000 of the country’s traffic police officers were actively present at the six borders with Iraq, as well as in the provinces of the route and passages leading to the borders, from the fifth day of Shahrivar until today.

The deputy of the country’s traffic police pointed to the return of pilgrims Arbaeen Hosseini and clarified: managing the return of pilgrims and facilitating their movement was a heavy mission that was completed with the active and round-the-clock presence of police officers and the cooperation of other rescue and service forces.

He announced the number of pilgrims returning from the Mehran border by nearly 200,000 more than the number who had left this border and said: nearly 200,000 pilgrims who had left the country from other borders to visit the Mehran border chose to return to the country and entered the country through this border.

Sardar Hosseini described the traffic situation of the 6 common borders with Iraq and the routes leading to the borders as normal and smooth.
