In another part of his speech, Selajgeh stated that climate change has a natural dimension and an anthropogenic dimension, stating that the global average temperature and rainfall decreased significantly over time, and we witnessed periods such as ice ages. Paleontology also shows that the earth It must accept changes to organize itself. With the melting of the Antarctic ice, there is a possibility of changes in the earth’s crust and earthquakes.

In another part of his speech about the man-made factors affecting climate change, Selajghe said: Currently, the environment is suffering from crises such as water shortage, fine dust and fire, and we have intensified them as an accelerator. In this situation at the global level, we must take steps to adapt to this situation.

Referring to the national dimensions of Iran’s measures to adapt to climate change, he said: Iran has had the most diverse climatic conditions in the world. Due to climate changes, changes should also happen in our thinking and both consumption, production and recycling should be taken into consideration.

He added: Climate change was mentioned for the first time in the 7th Development Plan, and the Environmental Organization must formulate a national climate change plan within a year. The Environment and Sustainable Development Research Institute has also been designated as a regional hub for climate change.

He emphasized that the government’s approach in this field is very appropriate, but the changes in climate conditions are so acute that the impact of the actions is not very tangible.
