The exhibition “The same handwriting of letters” was opened / Shojaei Tabatabai: The works have been selected with sensitivity and rigor

Fars News Agency – Visual Group – Alireza Sepahvand: The calligraphy and calligraphy exhibition “The same handwriting of letters” was inaugurated today, Tuesday, December 7, on the occasion of Student Day, under the auspices of Ruhollah Delkhani, at the High Gallery of the Arts Center.
Regarding the exhibition, a Fars reporter spoke with Seyed Massoud Shojaei Tabatabai, a cartoonist, illustrator and director of the Visual Arts Center, which reads as follows:
Seyed Masoud Shojaei Tabatabai, director of the Visual Arts Center, while congratulating the students on the purpose of holding the exhibition “The same handwriting” said: “Fortunately, we have a very good interaction with our loved ones at Soura University, one of the fruits of which is the exhibition It is a glorious work that with the sensitivities and strictures that we have had, we have held this exhibition at the highest possible level of the received works. Both Soura University and we had a special interest in holding this event at a desirable level, and thank God this happened, and now we are witnessing an exhibition of the works of the professors and students of this university, which has been presented with fairly good works.
Regarding the content and type of works exhibited in this exhibition, he added: “Various works are thematically exhibited, from decorative works to works taken from narrations, Quranic verses, poems of prominent poets of our country and calligraphy among the people of our country.” It has a very special place, especially when the line is combined with the painting, its quality and visual appeal are much higher.
The director of the visual arts department, emphasizing that we do not impose any restrictions on holding such exhibitions, explained: “We have held numerous and varied exhibitions so far, one of the last of which was a” scene “by Mr. Abbas Ganji.” Who exhibited works on the subject of landscape, nature, and inanimate nature. Therefore, we do not have this limitation in presenting various subjects, our only goal has been and is to present good and magnificent works, but this is also a multi-purpose event, which means that these works, in addition to being displayed in this real space, are one of the works of art. It has worked, presenting such works in cyberspace. That is, we have reconstructed the same space and taken it to cyberspace. In this way, when you enter the page of this exhibition in cyberspace, you enter the exhibition and you can go in front of each work and watch the works in three dimensions.
Regarding the discussion of entering the economy of art, Shojaei Tabatabai emphasized about the mentioned exhibition: Another thing that we considered for this exhibition was that we said that it is a pity that these good works are not included in the cycle of art economics and are not sold. Anyway, this happened and now that I am at your service, some of these works have been sold and this is a good thing, because the topic of art economics was one of our priorities, which, God willing, will be explained in detail later. . In order to achieve this goal, a company from outside is working with us to achieve this goal professionally and to be able to benefit the artists to the maximum financial capacity of this event.
The cartoonist announced the importance of developing such exhibitions in different cities of the country and said: “Another event that is of great importance to us is that this event and such works are not limited to Tehran.” Talking to the esteemed officials of Soura University, it was decided to display these works in the cities as well. Even that is not enough for us, and I think many of these works deserve to be seen in urban spaces and public spaces with which people are in contact, such as terminals, airports and subways and other busy places, and of course, these arrangements have been made many times before. Taken and shown in public, but it must continue.
Shojaei Tabatabai added: “Another thing that was done is to create a database of such events on our visual site, each of the dear artists will have a page there.” Of course, the “tajasomi.ir” site is currently being updated and will be fully available from next week, and each of these dear artist artists will have their own page, biography and works. Of course, the exhibition is very good to be seen, but this process, if it wants to achieve the desired result, must continue, not leave the artists and their works to God’s end, and must continue interactively, and we are capable of this. Dear God willing, we will benefit.
He explained how the artists’ works were priced and sold during the exhibition: “We agreed on the prices with the professors and artists themselves.” The prices are really reasonable and low for buyers and enthusiasts. Some of these works that I was looking at were even sold at a price of 500,000 Tomans, which really did not even affect the cost price for the painting, paint and other accessories. So the prices are really reasonable. These works are priced from 500,000 to two million tomans, but the works of professors are priced higher, for example, they also have works worth 15 million tomans. Of course, our main goal in this regard is for these works to find their way to people’s homes and for this culture to be institutionalized among the people. .
He explained about the religious topics presented in these works: When you see a work among these works that presents “Salawat” in an artistic way, when this work goes to people’s homes, there are two aspects, one is seeing and enjoying. One of the physical beauty of the work and the fact that Salavati can be read by seeing it. This also applies to Quranic verses. We have had this discussion of sales in previous exhibitions, but now we have decided that this art economy should not be defined only in certain places. First, this category is only in Tehran and rarely happens in cities, and second, that only a certain number of people benefit from this trend, and we decide to identify artists who are in cities and enter them into this cycle of art economy to Be able to sell their magnificent and valuable works and this issue is not limited to certain people.
Regarding the goals beyond the country and looking at non-Iranian enthusiasts, he said: “One of the points that is very, very important for us is that these calligraphic works, especially those with Quranic themes, have a very good market in neighboring countries, especially Arab countries.” . We are looking for solutions, of course, we have found a series of spaces and we are interested in entering these spaces as well. Alhamdulillah, there is a very good interaction with the new government, especially through Mr. Mohammad Hossein Niroumand, advisor to Dr. Ismaili, Minister of Guidance, who is himself a well-known artist in the field of visual arts, we have signed memoranda of understanding with many centers And cooperate in promoting and developing works of art.
We have a very rich and fruitful treasure trove of the works of the Revolution and the Holy Defense, which are composed of the best works. Of course, this year we have a program for the Mubarak Fajr Decade called “Mirror in the Mirror”, some of which will be displayed in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran in one of the sections of the Fajr Visual Arts Festival. A very good research work is also being done, which will be presented in book form. We hope that in the new government, we will achieve a favorable atmosphere in the Museum of the Revolution with augmentation and ideal cooperation.
