The famous Oscar-winning director was arrested / charged with raping Paul Haggis
Paul Haggis, director and screenwriter of the Oscar-winning film “Accident”, was arrested in Italy on charges of rape.

According to Italian media reports, based on the text of the prosecution, the screenwriter of “Million Dollar Girl” has been accused of raping a foreign (non-Italian) girl.
Haggis is in Italy for several masterclasses at a newly established festival scheduled for June 21-26.
Silivia Bezio, one of the festival’s founders, confirmed the news of Haggis’ arrest, saying that the festival no longer had anything to do with the director and would issue a statement soon.
Paul Haggis has two Academy Awards for producing and writing the screenplay for “Accident.”
