Ali Moradi, director of the Kurdistan Broadcasting Center, told Mehr reporter about the launch of the Sanandaj cinema town: During the visit of Peyman Jabali, head of the Kurdistan Broadcasting Corporation, to Kurdistan, the construction of a cinema town was started.

He continued: “A very good place was chosen for this settlement, and in the first phase, about 11 hectares have been considered, which of course will be expanded.”

Moradi clarified: Considering the authority it has in the field of media and television and film productions, the Broadcasting Organization plays an important step in the development of the film and serial production industry not only in the country but also in the region by creating local towns in different provinces. As you know, today the serialization industry is very important and profitable in the world, and the creation of such towns helps to produce works.

He added: This is the first movie town that is being shot locally and provincially in a place other than Tehran.

Moradi said about the production of the series in this town: We have the series “Ardalan’s Secret” in pre-production, which is being produced by one of the prominent female directors of the country. This series is currently being written by Sholeh Shariati. The producer has also been identified, but more details of the series will be announced when it enters the production process.
