According to Changan Digital King on Weibo social network, Honor will launch two clamshell phones in China before spring will do. If all goes according to plan, the first Honor clamshell phone will be available in the first quarter of 2022.

According to this technology revealer, one of the phones opens up and down and the other opens left and right. In other words, the Chinese manufacturer will launch clamshell phones as well as tablets similar to the Samsung Z Flip 3 and Samsung Z Fold 3.

Previous reports have suggested that the Honor clamshell phone will be similar to the Huawei Mate X2. This is not surprising, of course, as almost all of the devices launched by Honor after it was sold by Huawei are similar to those of its former parent company. The reason for this is said to be that the development of these devices probably began when it was a subsidiary of Huawei.

In addition, Ross Young, CEO of DSCC, states that he will use the folding panels offered by BOE and Visionox. The clamshell phone, like the company’s tablet, is expected to feature an 8-inch internal display and a 6.5-inch external display.
