According to IRNA, our country’s under-16 basketball team played its last match against Iraq, which ended in a 95-53 victory for Shah Ali’s students.

The young basketball players of our country, who had won against Syria, Lebanon and Jordan before this match, also defeated Iraq tonight and a few minutes ago to show a successful performance.

The West Asian Youth Basketball Championship, a qualifying round for the Asian Championships, began last week in Jordan, where the Iranian team won the Asian Championship quota with four wins and no losses.

It is worth mentioning that the Asian Under-16 Championship will be hosted by Doha, Qatar from June 22 to 29 this year, and the top four teams of this competition will advance to the Under-17 World Cup.
