The golden plaque of the Bratislava Illustration Prize went to the book “Simorgh”


According to Fars News Agency, “Simorgh” has been published by Madrasa Publications and has been nominated for the 28th Bratislava Illustration Festival (BIB) in 2021 in Slovakia.

This book has been written and published based on the logic of Attar Neyshabouri, tailored to the special needs of teenagers, and due to its nature, it has been able to reach the second edition in less than a year. Mohammad Barangi has created original images with a combination of elements of Iranian lithographs and paintings.

The book has pictures that introduce the exciting world of the legendary bird (Simorgh) to teenagers. Simorgh has already been included in the White Crow List of the International Library of Munich, Sharjah 2019 Illustration Exhibition, the White Crow List 2020, and is also selected for the 2021 biennial entrance exam.

Therefore, the report; The Bratislava Biennial of Illustration is one of the oldest international children’s book illustration events, along with the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, one of the most important awards for children’s book illustration.

This art event has been held every two years in Bratislava, Slovakia, since 1967, with the support of UNESCO as one of the most important illustration competitions in the world under the auspices of the International Bureau for the Young Generation (BIB).

The aim of the BIBIANA Institute and the founders of this biennial is to provide conditions for the evaluation and development of illustration, so the best works published in the last two years will be displayed and international experts and judges from all over the world will receive a grand prize, 5 Golden apple effect and awarded to 4 golden plaque effects.
