The heat of regional interactions – IRNA
In the following note of October 26, 1400, we read Etemad newspaper by Vahid Aziri: As I have written over the past three years (so far) in the direction of cooperation and peace in the West Asian region, I must point out that after the US presence in the West Asian region diminished and it left Afghanistan and played a real role in regional affairs by the actors themselves The region is causing the dust of suspicion of our neighbors to work in the direction of cooperation and peace in the region, where we are also witnessing some reduction of seizures. Due to the change in the views of the two countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia towards each other and also with mutual understanding of the influence and power of the other side in the regional and international arena, they entered into negotiations that resulted in better interaction between the Islamic world and more influence. It will lead the way in the international arena.
However, the most important driving factors that have a significant impact on the continuation of the constructive negotiations between these two great powers of the Islamic world are the following:
1- Change of government in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has made its foreign policy priority a real interaction with its neighbors.
2. The withdrawal of the United States from the region and the disappearance of the atmosphere of distrust (securing the interests of supra-regional powers through division) and the role played by local actors.
3- The need for the two countries to cooperate with the other side to reduce losses (get rid of the Yemeni crisis for Saudi Arabia and sell oil and circumvent sanctions for the Islamic Republic of Iran) and increase national, regional and supra-regional power.
4- Approaching the Week of Unity and encouraging other leaders of Islamic countries (Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, etc.) to have more interactions with countries of the same religion.
If the relations between the two countries are in line with each other (which is the will of both parties), it has many benefits for the West Asian region and the two powers. The benefits of these collaborations and interactions are:
1- Resolving and overcoming the Yemeni crisis with the help of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Saudi Arabia and reducing the fronts in this war, which will lead to a positive peace in the West Asian region.
2- Increasing bargaining power and taking the top position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the continuation of the Barjami negotiations (due to the sale of oil and circumvention of US sanctions with the help of Saudi Arabia).
3- Reducing the military expenditures of the countries of the region due to the lack of atmosphere of concern and distrust towards each other.
4- Resolving the conflict of interests of the two mentioned powers through negotiations, not confronting each other.
5- Elimination of the negative view of some Arab countries towards the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
6- Concentration and unity of the countries of the West Asian region against the main enemy (destruction of the Zionist regime).
7- Addressing each other’s economic needs by activating regional economic diplomacy (in the fields of oil and petrochemical industry, food products, housing, marketing, investment, etc.).
