According to Mehr News Agency, the 9th meeting of Iran-Zimbabwe Joint Commission was held in Tehran this February, and a number of bilateral cooperation documents were signed in this event.
In the previous meetings of the two sides, proposed texts for cooperation memoranda were exchanged. The political relations between the two countries of Iran and Zimbabwe are historical and strategic, and based on this, increasing the level of economic cooperation between the two countries is emphasized. For this purpose, this summit provides the basis for the development of economic cooperation and the improvement of the level of trade exchanges between the two countries.
Sayyed Soult In a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Zimbabwe, Mortazavi, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, referring to the capacities of the tobacco company as one of the sub-categories of this ministry, said: this company imports its tobacco products from Zimbabwe, which in the near future, the colleagues of this company will exchange Experiences and exchange of needs will travel to this country.
He confirmed the readiness of the Pharmaceutical Investment Company (typical) announced as another sub-category of the Ministry of Labor to plan, supply and send medicine to Zimbabwe.
The Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare also announced the increase in the level of trade between the two countries to more than 500 million dollars per year.
Also, Hamed Forozan, Director General of International Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, also announced in this meeting the readiness of pharmaceutical holdings to establish a drug production line in Zimbabwe and said: In the upcoming visit of the Iranian delegation to Zimbabwe, it is possible to establish a line processing Tobacco and the direct benefit of the tobacco company from the existing tobacco in this country will be investigated.
It should be noted that several memorandums of understanding in the field of transfer of experiences in the field of medicine, technical and vocational training, industry and trans-territorial cultivation, and the export of agricultural machinery and petrochemicals to Zimbabwe have been foreseen, and efforts are being made to bring the commercial relations of the two countries to a positive balance.
