Colonel Nurullah Khadim, head of the highway police of Greater Tehran, in an interview with the police reporter of Fars news agency, regarding the latest weather and traffic conditions on the highways of Greater Tehran, said: It is snowing in the northern axes of the capital, such as Tehran-North Freeway, Shemiranat, Dizin, and Lashkark, and in the southern highways. We were facing rain in the capital like Tehran-Qom, Saveh and Imam Reza highways.
The chief of Tehran Road Police said: With the cooperation of road traffic officials, three stages of clearing and snow removal have been completed on Tehran-North road, but due to the slippery surface of the roads, drivers can only drive on this axis with wheel chains.
He stated: Considering the possibility of continued rain and the slippery road surface, drivers should follow the traffic rules and regulations, move at a safe speed and the permitted distance and avoid haste and acceleration.
Colonel Khadim stated that no axis is blocked at the level of the Greater Tehran Road Police Command and announced the readiness and deployment of road police officers as well as road workers to facilitate the movement of citizens and also to remove snow from the roads.
