In an interview with Fars News Agency’s economic correspondent, Hojjatullah Abdul Maleki said about supporting low-income families: The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare has proposed that a living basket be allocated for the needy this year, but the final summary has not been finalized yet. The Program and Budget Organization and the First Vice President must reach a conclusion, but this livelihood basket will definitely be allocated to the needy before the end of the year.
The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare also said about setting the minimum wage for workers next year: “As we have said before, in the Supreme Labor Council, workers ‘and employers’ representatives are discussing and the government representative is present to create balance and Do not lose the right of anyone or any party.
Abdul Maleki also said: “Last night, in the presence of the President, we presented a report on the negotiation process of the Supreme Labor Council to determine the minimum wage in the presence of the President, and we said that the wage figure has not been finalized yet and negotiations are underway.”
The Minister of Labor said: “We hope to move towards determining the figure in the next meetings of the Supreme Labor Council, and all efforts are being made to reach a conclusion next week and the figure will be announced.”
Regarding workers ‘housing rights, Abdul Maleki said: “Workers’ housing rights will also be proposed at the meeting of the Supreme Labor Council, and after determining the minimum wage for next year, this figure will be presented to the cabinet and approved by the cabinet.”
