Referring to the activities of five strategic industries including: 23 petrochemicals, 15 steel companies, 9 sugarcane development projects and three refineries, oil-rich areas, National Drilling Company and Khuzestan Gas Company in the province and their role in the country’s economy, he added: while These industries employ a total of 141,000 people, that is, 10% of employment is in strategic industries, which should be activated by culturalization in 1402, 90% of employment in other economic bases.

Shnoodi He pointed to the emphasis of the governor of Khuzestan on the economy of the rural sector and rural employment in the new employment programs and continued: urban employment is the most dynamic economic base, and in the field of guilds, about 372 thousand jobs have been created, which is considered a capacity and strength, and if they are supported , have been able to create nearly 2.5 times more jobs than the strategic economy.

The General Director of Khuzestan Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare pointed to Iran’s trade relations with 6 neighboring countries and added: the first strategic partner of our country is Iraq and 21% of exports are made to this country, while 13% of goods are to the UAE, 1.2 percent are exported to Oman, 0.5% to Kuwait and Qatar, and 0.2% to Bahrain.
