According to Fars news agency, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, in a meeting with Mauritanian President Mohammad Ghazwani, considered the expansion of relations with Islamic, Arab and African countries susceptible to new interactions.

Regarding the new approach of the people’s government in the field of public diplomacy, Esmaili said: Fortunately, cultural interactions with the Islamic world and African countries have expanded in the people’s government, and meeting and consulting with the ministers of culture of different Islamic countries on the sidelines of the cultural capital of the Islamic world summit is the best opportunity for Strengthening cultural interactions between Iran and Islamic countries is considered.
He emphasized on the maximum use of this enormous capacity, stating that such meetings show well that the cultural opportunity of our country is an important tool for deepening the public diplomacy of the Islamic Republic.
In his meeting with the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the President of Mauritania, Mohammad Ghazvani, appreciated the steadfast and principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the issues of the Islamic world and said: “The development of political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries in the Middle East and North Africa will be important and strategic.” .

At the end of this meeting, the President of Mauritania expressed his desire to visit Tehran and thanked Dr. Raisi for his invitation.

Also, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, on the sidelines of the ceremony of introducing Nouakchott as the cultural capital of the Islamic world, met with a number of ministers of the host countries and ministers of culture of the Islamic countries present at this meeting and talked about introducing the artists of the countries to each other, holding art programs and exchanging cultural and artistic works. did
