“Architectural structures, pottery, bone data and metal finds are among the discoveries,” Barani said.

The head of the Faculty of Arts of Birjand University stated: Due to its antiquity and special features, the Gabri Maud area has been at the disposal of Birjand University for five years for educational research.

Seyyed Ahmad Barabadi, in charge of research and studies at the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of South Khorasan, also told ISNA: “The historical hill of Maud in the Maud plain includes two hills with low and close to each other; The northern hill has a higher height than the southern hill. This hill has been speculated and determined by the cultural heritage of Khorasan in 1997.

He continued: “Surface studies conducted in the area of ​​pottery related to the period from the fourth millennium to the Sassanid period have been obtained, which shows the importance of this hill and the similarity of its data with the findings obtained with specific areas such as Kalateh Shahpour and Chahar Farsakh Nehbandan.” Yahya Hill has Kerman, Nad Ali and the old fort of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan and the foothills of Balochistan.

Barabadi stated: South Khorasan is one of the most important settlements of the Parthian period due to its location in Greater Khorasan (Parthian power center). The sites in the province belong to the Parthian period.

He stated that this site was registered in the list of national monuments in 1381 with the number 6364, and reminded: South Khorasan is still one of the unknown or less known points from the point of view of explorers that needs further investigation.
