Fourth, fifth and sixth place went to Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima, respectively. Another surprise is that the Accord is the oldest model in the list of the top 10 stolen cars in the United States. Simply put, thieves of the 1997 model prefer chords. The most stolen Altima in 2020 is the 2020 model.

Seventh place belongs to Jim C. Sierra and eighth place to Silverado with 13,016 units. In eighth place is the Toyota Corolla. In this case, too, thieves are interested in the latest technologies on the Corolla dashboard, and for this reason, they are stealing more 2020. Honda CR-V‌ is in the next category, whose theft has increased by more than 21.9% in 2020 compared to 2019. The tenth place is the Dodge / Ram van, the most stolen model of which is its 2001 model.

Of course, the office report above also lists the top stolen cars by state. In Alaska, for example, due to the winter cold and long frosts, Subaru models are in the top 10. In Michigan, home to three traditional American automakers, the Dodge Charger is a favorite of thieves. 755 Dodge Chargers and 94 Mitsubishi Mirages were reported in the state.

European cars, which have not been as successful as Japanese carmakers in the US market and, of course, have low sales, are not in the top 10. The last surprise in this news is that the most common reason for car theft in the United States is the placement of switches on the car.
