The most powerful passport in the world changed/Iran ranks 92nd in the world

Another noteworthy point about the new list is the presence of European countries in the top positions. While Asian countries dominated the first to third positions of the list for a long time, this time Germany, Italy and Spain have jointly climbed to second place with visa-free access to 190 destinations. Meanwhile, Japan and South Korea are in third place along with Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg and Sweden. Citizens of third-tier countries can travel to 189 destinations without a visa.

Iran ranks 92nd in the new list with access to 44 destinations.

The Henley Passport Report is published based on information received from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and classifies 199 passports worldwide. This list is updated throughout the year as visa policies change.

While publishing the new list, Henley & Partners noted that over the 18-year history of world passport classification, the average number of destinations that travelers can travel to without obtaining a visa has almost doubled, from 58 in 2006 to 109. The item has arrived.

However, the gap between the freedom of travel of the countries at the top of the list and the countries at the bottom of the list is wider than ever. Afghan citizens can only visit 27 destinations without obtaining a visa. Iraq with access to 29 destinations and Syria with access to 30 destinations are also visible in the lower positions of the list.

The Henley & Partners list is just one of several reports on the classification of world passports based on access to citizens of countries.
