The movie “Girls’ Group” succeeded in obtaining a screening license

According to Fars News Agency’s cinema correspondent, the film licensing council in a recent meeting agreed to issue licenses for the screening of three films, and accordingly, for the films “Girls’ Band” produced by Mohammad Reza Mansouri and directed by Munir Qidi, “Between the Rocks” produced by Mohammad Ahmadi and directed by Mukhtar Abdullahi and “Ahmad Alone” produced and directed by Hossein Mahkam were licensed.
The movie “Girls’ Group” has been made with a free look and based on real narratives of Khorramshahr’s 34-day resistance in the holy defense. The director of this work of art sheds light on parts of the 8-year war that have received less attention over the years. This film narrates the resistance and self-sacrifice of women in the early turbulent days of the war, and by reconstructing live and documentary images of the house-to-house battle in Khorramshahr, it has created the first cinematic images with a female perspective of that resistance.
The director challenges the role model of a passive woman and an active man, which is the theme of the sacred defense cinema. “Girls” tells the story of women who are as wounded as men, but we have heard less of them and their memories. This film is a joint product of the Farabi Cinema Foundation and the Soura Cinema Organization.
“Girls’ Group” starring Niki Karimi, Pantea Panahiha and Fereshteh Hosseini was unveiled at the 40th Fajr Film Festival.
