The need for globalization of platforms based on Islamic culture in cyberspace – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoting the Cyberspace Research Institute, Hojjatoleslam Reza Haj Hosseini in the twentieth session of the series of specialized sessions of the National Festival of Fatah Translators focusing on “Requirements and contexts for the development of global publication of resistance literature” stating that linguistic translation is part of cultural translation. “Cyberspace has created a great opportunity to create a cultural translation movement,” he said. To translate the discourse, thinking and culture of the resistance and the revolution, we must seize the opportunity to redefine cyberspace protocols based on Islamic principles and redesign cyberspace structures.

The director of the Office of Islamic Studies and Theological Communications of the Cyberspace Research Institute, stating that cyberspace has brought an irreplaceable and valuable capacity for the realization of cultural translation, added: “This capacity has been unparalleled throughout history and has created an opportunity to Translate to the world; This translation is the introduction to the cultural development and expansion of Islamic civilization. Although the literature of sacred defense and revolutionary thought has already spread to other countries, organizations, and cultures, cyberspace is an opportunity to spread it more widely and with greater depth.

He added: The Supreme Leader also referred to the issue of “explanation jihad in cyberspace” in his recent speech. Explanatory jihad in the external space means translating literature, belief, and feeding one belief and culture to another, which we refer to as cultural translation. My suggestion is to develop the translation movement in cyberspace in Lebek by the order of the Supreme Leader and in order to realize the jihad of explanation.

Hojjatoleslam Haj Hosseini stressed the need to pay attention to the non-content capacities of cyberspace in the translation movement and said: we should not limit translation in cyberspace to the production of content in this space. Many ideas and lifestyles are transmitted through protocols and structures defined on platforms and in the form of technologies, services, software and hardware products, and even infrastructure technologies, thus creating a culture and managing community behavior. As a result, cyberspace platforms and structures and service delivery protocols in different contexts is one of the capabilities of cyberspace for cultural translation and can easily change the behavior of a society for the better.

He continued: “Unfortunately, in this field, which is one of the most important high-capacity platforms for the development of Islamic civilization in cyberspace, not only do we have many shortcomings, but there is not even the necessary concern and attention to this translation and discourse approach.”

The director of the Office of Islamic Studies of the Cyberspace Research Institute, referring to the need to produce and globalize products and platforms based on religious teachings, said: “Although the primary priority and necessity is to create mechanisms and contexts appropriate to our culture and global development . However, active, widespread and purposeful presence and action in the existing global contexts is also very necessary. As a result, if the government and activists in this field pay attention to different areas of activity in cyberspace, not only is there no need to block many global platforms and social networks, but it is an opportunity to realize the cultural translation of the revolution.
